Who Am I
I am a passionate Spanish Houdini FX Technical Director, born in 1998. My journey into the visual effects world kicked off while completing a 3D generalist degree at La Salle Ramón Llull. The real excitement for FX hit me in the final years of my Bachelor’s, where i’ve found the existence of procedural workflows and, ultimately, Houdini.
While completing my degree, I’ve spent my free time studying Houdini, not just as a tool but as a magical way to create endless mind-blowing effects. That led to the creation of “The Rave“, a Final Grade groupal project that got me Honors from the university.
After graduation, I felt that my demo reel didn’t quite hit the mark. I realized the limited time I’d spent on Houdini during my studies didn’t do justice to my ambitions. So, I decided to sign up for the Houdini FX Master’s program at FX Animation Barcelona 3D and Film School. I wanted more than just knowledge… I needed the feedback and expert guidance to navigate this massive procedural landscape to learn everything a more effective way than what was it being as a self-taught.
Throughout my journey, I discovered that I love the more technical aspects of the craft. Collaborating with leads and the artists, sharing knowledge between all of us, I have developed confidence in addressing complex challenges and finding the best solutions for unique sequences. Trying out new techniques isn’t just about satisfying my curiosity; it’s also about linking up with cool creative minds, meeting awesome new people, and discovering fresh perspectives.
